What the human evidence actually is

Effectively none. A 2025 systematic review in the HSS Journal found zero completed controlled human efficacy trials. The handful of human studies enrolled roughly 2, 12 and 16 people, none randomised or placebo-controlled. Every impressive result people cite comes from rats. That is not the same as 'it does not work' — it means nobody has tested it properly in a person.

How it is supposed to work

Proposed effects on angiogenesis via VEGFR2, nitric oxide signalling, growth-factor expression and fibroblast migration. Mechanism is inferred from animal models, not confirmed in humans.

Safety

No human safety database exists. Animal toxicity has been low, but 'no reported harm' from studies that were never run is not a safety record.

Storage and handling

Lyophilised peptide is generally stored at 2–8 °C, or below −20 °C for long-term storage. Reconstituted in bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) a solution is typically treated as usable for about 28 days refrigerated, versus roughly 24 hours for plain sterile water, which has no preservative. Add the water slowly down the vial wall and swirl — never shake, which shears peptide chains and foams the solution.
